I WON!!!

Last week I entered Beadaholique’s Contest to Win A Lifetime Artfire Pro eCommerce Store.

I love ArtFire to bits, so the chance to win a free-for-life store was brilliant!

There wasn’t enough time for me to order new supplies all the way from the US, but luckily I am already a Beadaholique customer and already had some of their supplies in hand.  I decided to make a simple design that best highlighted the materials used and sent off my entry.

I am absolutely thrilled to be one of the ten winners! :D

Thank you Beadaholique, thank you ArtFire! :)

A Woodland Choker

I made my first creation specifically for ArtFire this week, as part of the Handmade In Europe Guild’s monthly challenge.  This month had a Woodland theme and I used suede, wooden beads and glass flowers and leaves.

Available for sale in my ArtFire shop.

My Creative Space – Something for the men!

I’m working on something new today to introduce something for men in my Etsy shop … knotted cufflinks in leather and suede.

I’m still experimenting with different leather thicknesses.  The black leather I have resulted in knots that are slightly too big to pass comfortably through a shirt buttonhole, but the suede is perfect.  I have lots of suede in different colours so I’ll be making a few pairs in suede using the stock I have and I’ll also get some new thinner leather because I really like the look of those!

“Spring Flowers”

I recently got this journal from Renate of Kreativlink.  She makes the most fabulous, well made journals you could find and the only problem with her books is to decide which one you want … and once you make up your mind don’t think too long because it might be gone in the time it takes to say “That’s The One!” :)

Well, here is mine … absolutely perfect in every way, and unbelievably even more beautiful in real life than you could imagine from the photos.

I love everything about this journal,

  • my favourite colour, green
  • sweet, hand drawn flowers
  • a cute butterfly bookmark
  • perfect stitching
  • green stained paper
  • the certificate of authenticity signed by Renate

  • and the most incredible button to finish it off!

As I said, absolute perfection!
